Lemon Laws

An automobile that qualifies as a lemon is determined by defects needing continuous service on a basis of three times or more. If this is something that is happening to you your automobile may be considered a lemon.

If you find any of the safety features on your vehicle to be problematic such as the brakes, steering, seat belts, door problems, gear troubles and continuous engine problems from the same source your car may be considered a lemon. Serious problems including brakes and steering the manufacturer is only granted one chance to remedy the issue. Less serious issues the manufacturer is granted up to four chances to fix the situation before the determination of considering your automobile a lemon. If your automobile is in for repair for thirty days in a one year period or under 12,000 miles your car may be a lemon as well.

If any you of the above situations have happened to you please contact your states attorney general or consumer affairs about your situation. You can get the information needed on how to proceed and actions you can take. Always contact The Better Business Bureau with any complaints you may have.
